The Port of San Diego is the title sponsor and organizer for the Big Bay Boom, the region's premier Independence Day celebration and the largest synchronized fireworks display on the West Coast. 

After nightfall on July 4th, fireworks launch from four barges on San Diego Bay, creating a spectacular and dancing display of color and light that is professionally choregraphed and synced to a musical simulcast. The Port estimates over 400,000 attendees gather along the waterfront for this free event, and tens of thousands more watch it on screens across California and the country.
