People of the Port

People Make a Difference

It takes the commitment of many people to make our dynamic waterfront thrive. The Port’s daily operations are carried out by a workforce of over 550 dedicated employees. At the helm are the Board of Port Commissioners, the Executive Leadership Group and numerous advisory committee members. Together, the leadership team and staff champion the Port’s mission and vision for San Diego Bay as a waterfront of opportunity for the people of California.

Board of Port Commissioners

The Port is governed by a seven-member Board of Port Commissioners representing five cities and provides leadership that transcends local boundaries.

Executive Leadership Group

The Port takes a team approach to leadership, with a core group of executives collaborating to ensure a strong and cohesive organization.
