Bali Hai – Serving San Diego for over 50 years, this Polynesian-themed eatery located at the northern tip of Shelter Island is known for delicious Mai Tais, seafood dishes and beautiful views. The restaurant recently converted its Hawaiian Pavilion, a bayside special event space, into an outdoor dining venue that feels like a Hawaiian getaway. If you can’t stay for a meal, enjoy a Mai Tai to go, available for a limited time! Reservations are required for dine in.

Fish Market Outdoor Dining

The Fish Market and Top of the Market – Offering a new al fresco experience this summer while enjoying the freshest and finest in seafood cuisine. The restaurants have expanded their dining rooms outside for lunch and dinner with limited seating available near the Bob Hope Memorial and the Enduring Peace Statue at Tuna Harbor Park along the Embarcadero. This fully outdoor experience is just feet away from the water and provides a unique and memorable dining atmosphere. 

 

Humphrey’s Restaurant – Home to the popular music venue Humphreys Concert by the Bay, this location has transformed its one-of-a-kind concert lawn into an outdoor dining experience. The new Humphrey’s Concerts Bayside Cafe is a great place to soak in summer breezes and sparkling marina views while dining in an open-air atmosphere. This tropical paradise offers a connection between San Diego culture and authentic Southern California cuisine with a new limited, diverse menu.

Island Prime Pop-Up – A fine dining experience like never before, Island Prime is serving a special limited menu on Coasterra’s Harbor Float for a premier outdoor pop-up restaurant. Tom Ham’s Lighthouse – Situated at the south of Harbor Island, you have your choice of first or second level patio seating. No matter the selection, you’ll enjoy the ambiance and cool air in your face! With daily deliveries of the freshest fish and produce, this amazing waterfront dining destination provides perfect views of downtown San Diego, Coronado & San Diego Bay.

Chula Vista Marina

Galley at the Marina - If you miss live music and the chance to get up and dance, stop by this South Bay favorite known for great entertainment. Overlook the scenic bay in Chula Vista with a casual atmosphere, great food any day of the week and live music on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. From fish tacos, burgers and fries, to steak dinners, their menu offers it all, and the portions are plentiful!

A few tips when dining out:

  • Reservations are encouraged. Call ahead or make reservations online for dining and take-out orders.
  • Wear a face covering and be prepared to have a temperature check at select businesses.
  • Dress for the weather and bring sunglasses, sunscreen and possibly a light jacket if you are staying for a sunset walk after you dine. 
  • Practice social distancing and explore only with members of your household.
