An individual has a right to purchase public records related to their arrest. Below is information on how to do that.
Copies of police reports are available from the Harbor Police Records Division. There is a $4.00 processing fee for each report copy provided. The necessary application for requesting a police report can be obtained in person at Harbor Police Headquarters or can be downloaded below.
Reports involving an arrest can only be released by mail. All other reports can be mailed or picked up in person at Harbor Police Headquarters. To receive a report by mail, complete the application and either mail it or deliver it to the Harbor Police Records Division (address at left) along with a self addressed, stamped envelope and check or money order ($4.00 for each report) made out to the Port of San Diego (no cash please).

- Business Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Closed Saturday, Sunday and holidays)
- Police reports may be picked up in person, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (closed on alternate Fridays)
Police reports may be requested by mail. Reports will not be emailed or faxed.
