Additional Information
Surplus Property
The Port is committed to responsible stewardship of its resources by reducing waste and managing assets efficiently. Property no longer needed is collected at the Port’s central warehouse, where it is offered to departments for reuse for 60 days before being declared surplus and taken to the Board for action.
All property, regardless of value and condition, must be reported to the Board and declared surplus before it is removed or disposed. Once it is declared surplus to the Port's needs, it is offered to our member cities (San Diego, National City, Chula Vista, Imperial Beach, and Coronado) for sale. If the property is not used by a member city, it is then offered for sale to the public.
