Free “Day at the Park” Community Event Returns to Bayfront Park

The Port of San Diego invites the community to attend “A Day at the Park: A Port Experiences Series” event at Bayfront Park in Chula Vista. The free family-friendly event is scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Community members are encouraged to sign up for event reminders here.

“A Day at the Park” is a Port-sponsored multicultural celebration featuring live music, cultural performances, free tastings from local food vendors (while supplies last), kid-friendly activities, and more. The Chula Vista event will bring together community performers, popular local bands, a local emcee, family activities such as face painting and kids’ jumpers, and a custom car showcase designed to celebrate the energy, culture, and waterfront setting of Bayfront Park. This Port Experiences event series has since welcomed thousands of visitors and residents to the San Diego Bay waterfront since it began in 2024.

This year’s live entertainment is scheduled to include:

  • Xavier the X-Man, as emcee

  • SantanaWays

  • BetaMaxx

  • Ballet Folklorico Ti Pai

  • Serenity Cultural Dance Group

  • Naruwan Taiko Drums

“We are excited to welcome the community to spend a day at Bayfront Park and experience everything the beautiful Chula Vista Bayfront has to offer,” said Chair Ann Moore, Chula Vista’s appointee to the Port of San Diego Board of Port Commissioners. “Delivering coastal access is an important part of our mission at the Port of San Diego and this upcoming event will do just that by allowing families, visitors, and locals to create new memories along San Diego Bay.”
