Welcome to Real Estate. The Port has some 600 tenants with an extensive array of businesses surrounding San Diego Bay. These businesses include hotels, marinas, restaurants, shipyards, manufacturing enterprises and more.

Responsibilities
Real Estate is responsible for stimulating the development of District properties to their highest and best use in accordance with the Port District Act. Our responsibilities include professional management of assets, property acquisition, appraisal preparation, conducting feasibility studies, preparing and managing Requests For Proposals, negotiating leases and rent reviews, conducting ongoing market analyses, marketing of available properties, and administering and enforcing tenancy documents and other types of agreements.
The Real Estate Department is organized by geographical area into three teams: North Bay, Centre City/Embarcadero, and South Bay. Each team is responsible for tenants and development projects within their respective areas. The North Bay team covers Coronado, Shelter Island, and Harbor Island, including projects involving the Airport. The Centre City/Embarcadero team covers the tideland area from the Laurel Street crescent south east to the 10th Avenue Marine Terminal. The South Bay team manages Port assets in National City, Imperial Beach, and Chula Vista.
