Port of San Diego Harbor Police Investigating Death of Man Found Near Naval Station North Island

At approximately 11:58 a.m. on January 12, 2019, Port of San Diego Harbor Police received a call of a possible deceased individual floating along the shoreline of Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego Bay. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased, middle-aged male along the shoreline. Harbor Police divers recovered the victim and transferred the body to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation. There were no obvious signs of trauma.
