Port of San Diego Harbor Police Assist in Arrest of Los Angeles-Area Homicide Suspect

At approximately 12:30 a.m. on March 9, 2019, Port of San Diego Harbor Police received a request for assistance from investigators with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Investigators had information that a vehicle suspected of being connected to the homicide of 9-year-old Trinity Love Jones was in the vicinity of the San Diego International Airport. Harbor Police officers located the vehicle and surveilled it until Los Angeles County investigators arrived and took the single occupant of the vehicle into custody without incident. The vehicle was impounded for evidence.

Harbor Police is not releasing any further information in this case. All inquiries should go to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
