As part of efforts to build relationships in the community, the Port of San Diego Harbor Police Department invites the public to the agency’s Coffee with a Cop event. The mission of Coffee with a Cop is to break down barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve, one cup at a time, and allow people to interact with local law enforcement in a friendly, relaxed environment.
Coffee with a Cop will be held from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, at Ryan Bros Coffee Shop, 1894 Main Street, San Diego, CA 92113. The event includes a free cup of coffee for each attendee and provides an opportunity to engage in casual conversation with Harbor Police officers.
The Harbor Police Department believes establishing trust between the community and officers is extremely important. The Coffee with a Cop event is a unique program that strengthens partnerships and encourages communication. For additional information, please contact Community Policing Sergeant Victor Banuelos at (619) 686-6376.
