The Port of San Diego is pleased to kick off another season of its Waterfront Summer Shuttle, which provides low-cost transportation along the San Diego Bay waterfront with a $3 daily rate. Now in its eighth season, the Waterfront Summer Shuttle will run from Friday, May 24, 2019 through Monday, Sept. 2, 2019.
The Waterfront Summer Shuttle is provided by the Port and managed by Ace Parking to connect visitors to San Diego Bay and the waterfront and its businesses and attractions. It runs on a loop (approximately every 20 minutes) from the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina on Harbor Island to Harbor Drive Bridge, just south of the San Diego Convention Center, with several stops in between along the Embarcadero. Riders can hop on and off the shuttle all day long for an unlimited number of rides per day, with one $3 ticket.
“One of the Port’s goals is to get more people down to San Diego Bay, to get on and in the water and to enjoy all the activities that are offered along the our waterfront – and this shuttle makes that affordable and easy,” said Chairman Garry Bonelli, Coronado representative on the Port of San Diego Board of Port Commissioners. “There is so much to do between Harbor Island and the south end of the Embarcadero – you can even hop on a ferry to Coronado. Your summer adventure awaits!”
The shuttle runs daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the summer season (May 24, 2019 through September 2, 2019). The July 4th Shuttle will operate from 10 a.m. through Midnight.
