Public Outreach/Contact Information

The development of Ruocco Park has been the subject of several public meetings. Those meetings, and what transpired, are:

• Nov 4, 2008 - Board of Port Commissioners approved the donation agreement with The San Diego Foundation
• Mar 3, 2009 – Board of Port Commissioners approved an agreement with ONA, Inc. for design services
• May 20, 2009 – Public meeting on design concepts
• Sept 10, 2009 – Public meeting on design concepts
• Nov 2, 2009 – Public meeting on design concepts
• Dec 1, 2009 – Board of Port Commissioners approves concept design
• Mar 17, 2010 – Public Art Committee recommends agreement with public artist Roman de Salvo
• Apr 6, 2010 – Board of Port Commissioners authorizes agreement with Roman de Salvo
• Apr 19, 2010 – Public meeting to introduce the artist Roman de Salvo
• July 15, 2010 - Roman de Salvo presented his public art concept to the public.
