Home Ruocco Park

Welcome to the Ruocco Park home page. This proposed public park will be located on 3.3 acres along the San Diego Bay waterfront west of Pacific Highway and south of Harbor Drive. Construction began in October 2011 and should be completed by the end of 2012.

Ruocco Park will serve as an interactive public space that integrates the use of hardscape, ornamental horticulture and art for the benefit of the public to gather, view, and enjoy the waterfront and skyline of San Diego. It is funded through a unique public-private partnership, with funds provided by the Port and the Lloyd and Ilse Ruocco Fund administered by The San Diego Foundation.

The park site is currently called the Harbor Seafood Mart, and consists of a parking lot and portions of a building that will be demolished to make room for the new park.
