Note: There are several techniques used to successfully scale the six foot wall. Please use any technique that you prefer. Several of these techniques are detailed below:

  • Wall Walk: Using both hands, grab the top of the wall. Place either foot on the wall and stabilize yourself. While hanging, bring your alternate foot up to the wall. Taking small steps "walk" up the wall while keeping your body close to the vertical surface. As you get close to the top, hook either heel over the top of the wall. Using leverage, bring the rest of your body up and over the wall.
  • Wall Hook: Stand adjacent to the wall. Bend your arm closest to the wall and hold it up perpendicular to your body (like a chicken wing). Jump up and place your bent arm on top or over the wall. Swing your outside leg like a pendulum until you are able to hook a heel onto the top of the wall. Using leverage, bring the rest of your body up and over the wall.
  • Wall Vault: While facing the wall, use your upper body strength to get your upper torso onto the top of the wall. With your torso resting on the top of the wall, swing your legs up and pull yourself over the wall. An option for the Wall Vault is to use your momentum as you approach the wall. While running, plant one foot on the wall and jump up, placing your torso onto the top of the wall as described above.
