Hang Ten with Santa

Do you have a holiday wish list? Do you want to deliver it to Santa in person? You may be able to catch up with the jolly guy at Seaport Village on Sunday, December 14. Santa will make his stylish arrival at noon on the boardwalk near Pier Café, and then will be available for pictures on his surfboard and wave until 4:00 p.m.

Yo Ho Ho, It's Captain Santa

What if Santa is really a pirate? Could that be? You can check it out for yourself by watching the San Diego Bay Parade of Lights on Sunday evenings, December 14 and 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This year's theme is "Rock and Roll around the Bay!" You're sure to see Santa and his reindeer there.

Fireworks kick off the festivities at 5:30 p.m., followed by the parade, which takes approximately 90 minutes to pass any given point along the route. The approximate arrival time of the parade at various locations is:

* Shelter Island (start of parade) - 5:30 p.m.
* Harbor Island - 6:00 p.m.
* The Embarcadero - 6:30 p.m.
* Seaport Village - 7:00 p.m.
* Ferry Landing on Coronado - 7:30 p.m.

You won't need a pirate's treasure to enjoy this Big Bay event. The fireworks display and parade are free.

The Way to Santa's Heart is through His Pancakes

Do you think that Santa loves pancakes as much as you? See for yourself at the Harbor House Restaurant in Seaport Village on Saturday, December 20, and Sunday, December 21, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Breakfast includes a picture with Santa, kids show, face painting, a balloon artist and a gift bag for the kiddies. You'll need reservations. Call early, space is limited.
