Directly across the corridor from the Marketplace Rotunda, a trio of unique artworks paying tribute to the San Diego skies awaits you in the Observation Lounge.

Jeffery Laudenslager's Skyscapes is a collection of panes resembling free-floating window frames dangling dreamy images of sky and cloud overhead. In a technique perfected by the artist, the frames, though flat, seem to change in dimension and position as you move about.

The dome-shaped circle on the floor is Cloud Experience, by Laudenslager and Deanne Sabeck. It contains clouds mysteriously floating through space, mimicking the magical feeling of being among clouds in an airplane.

On the glass walls at either end of the lounge, William LeDent's photographic work called Dream Clouds reminds us of just how beautiful our skies can be.

Together, these three extraordinary works transform the Observation Lounge into a relaxing, interactive environment allowing you to feel virtually as one with the clouds.
