The Citizens Advisory Committee was formed to provide public input from a diverse group on the North Embarcadero Port Master Plan Amendment. The Master Plan is a planning tool to guide future port development and to ensure that projects and developments within the port are consistent with the California Coastal Act. The committee makes recommendations to port staff, who in turn will present these as alternatives to the Board of Port Commissioners later in the year.

The August 24 meeting will be the tenth meeting of the Citizens Advisory Committee. The meeting was postponed due to a delay in the completion of a model that would show potential roadway alignments for North Harbor Drive, which is part of the project.

Presentations on the preliminary modeling results will be shown at the August 24 meeting. Additionally, the Citizens Advisory Committee will have a dialogue on this subject.

Members of the Citizens Advisory Committee include representatives from environmental, business, design and public interest organizations, and the public.
