The Port of San Diego will be holding its fourth Citizens Advisory Committee meeting for the North Embarcadero Port Master Plan Amendment and Draft Environmental Impact Report.

The meeting will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Port’s Embarcadero Planning Center, 585 Harbor Lane, San Diego. (map) The public is invited to attend.

At the meeting, a framework for low-cost waterfront accommodations will be reviewed, along with potential locations for a proposed youth hostel.

The Citizens Advisory Committee has been meeting since March 16. The committee was formed with the goal of including input from a diverse community group on the North Embarcadero Port Master Plan Amendment. The Port Master Plan provides a planning tool to guide future Port development and to ensure that projects and developments within the Port are consistent with the California Coastal Act.

Members of the Citizens Advisory Committee include representatives from environmental, business, design and public interest organizations, as well as three at-large members.
