National City Chamber Names New CEO

With the goal of re-energizing and enhancing the region’s business community, the National City Chamber of Commerce has announced the hiring of Jacqueline Luna Reynoso as its new Chief Executive Officer.

A native of National City, Ms. Reynoso was named to the top leadership role following a thorough six-month recruitment and interview process, led by John Pasha, the Chamber’s First Vice-President. She is expected to start her new position July 1.

“Jacqueline brings a high level of energy, vision and commitment to serve our region’s businesses,” said Mr. Pasha, who chaired the Chamber’s CEO Hiring Committee. “We are poised for economic growth, cooperation and prosperity and we are very confident she has the requisite leadership skills to lead this collective effort.”

Ms. Reynoso, who speaks fluent Spanish and is the daughter of Mexican immigrants, joins the Chamber after 14 months as Community Development Coordinator for the City of National City. In that role she led the city’s economic development initiatives.

“National City has always been my hometown and I am truly excited about this opportunity to serve my community,” said Ms. Reynoso. “Our task as a Chamber is to work closely together to improve National City in every way possible. In doing so, we intend to connect with the many businesses and hard-working people here who give our city its economic vitality. I can’t wait to get started.”

Before joining the city, Ms. Reynoso was a bank executive specializing in shareholder relations. Earlier, she earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of California at Berkeley and a master’s in public policy from Harvard University.

“Jacqueline’s ability to fully connect with high-level executives as well as National City’s vast small-business community will serve as an invaluable asset for this Chamber and our members,” said Mr. Pasha. “We are pleased to welcome her engaging spirit and keen business sense to our team.”

Founded in 1911, the National City Chamber of Commerce represents more than 550 businesses in the region.
