Mentoring

What is Mentoring?

image003The mentor-mentee relationship can take a variety of forms. A mentor may provide career guidance, offer suggestions or directions on a work related issue, provide feedback on the mentee’s work, help with educational resources, help with management concerns, or work with the mentee in other ways agreed upon by both parties. There are some basic expectations for both parties that should be discussed and agreed upon before the mentoring relationship begins. The contents of this web site are designed to help you get started and help answer questions

This information is used to help facilitate mentoring relationships and to find appropriate matches.

Agreement Document

The contents of an Agreement Document are established between the Mentor and the Mentee at the start of the working relationship to ensure each participant understands the parameters to the relationship. A copy of the Agreement Document is maintained by the Mentor Program Coordinator for reference.

Agreement Task List Form

image037The Agreement Task List is an accountability form program participants can use to document in writing any agreements made between Mentors and Mentees regarding specific tasks or goals. As with any documents provided by the program, the Agreement Task List is not a mandatory form. It is provided for convenience to assist with organizing mentoring relationships.
