Cruise Ships and Cargo Operations on Schedule at Port of San Diego

Cruise ships are making calls and cargo operations are continuing at the Port of San Diego’s Cruise Ship Terminal and two cargo terminals. However, the Port’s administrative offices remain closed because of the county wildfires.

Since the eruption of the wildfires, only essential Port employees have been on duty, but the agency’s 16 public parks, all boat launches and other amenities are open.

Through next Monday, nine cruise ships are scheduled to make calls to San Diego. The cruise lines and the Port will provide San Diego passengers with information about the fires, evacuation sites and road closures. A complete list of the cargo and cruise ships coming to port can be found at http://www.sdmis.org/schedule.

The San Diego Harbor Police Department has provided 73 officers to assist in the wildfires as part of a county-wide mutual-aid agreement among public agencies. The Harbor Police Department provides law enforcement for the Port and for the San Diego International Airport.
