Lane Field North

The Lane Field North Hotel site is bounded by Harbor Drive, “C” Street, Pacific Highway, and the Navy property, and is located directly across from the San Diego Bay. On the 1.9 acre Lane Field North site, Lane Field San Diego Developers, LLC (LFSDD) proposes to construct an upscale Woodfin Suites hotel consisting of 250 to 300 rooms, including restaurants and retail inside the hotel; approximately 25,000 square feet of restaurants and retail outside the hotel; and approximately 650 parking spaces in a below-grade parking facility. LFSDD will also construct all North Embarcadero Visionary Plan (NEVP) public improvements on and adjacent to the hotel. The proposed 17-story hotel tower is designed with similar architectural features to match the Lane Field South Hotel. The suites would include balconies overlooking the bay. The tower is approximately 350 feet high, the allowable maximum building height. The hotel is designed as a slender tower located perpendicular to the waterfront to allow for views from neighboring downtown buildings. The tower is located toward Pacific Highway to complement the Lane Field South Hotel. The lower two-level hotel podium would include street level shopping and restaurants.

Guests would arrive off Pacific Highway from “C” Street to an attractive motor court and porte-cochere to the hotel lobby. Meeting rooms and ballrooms would be located on the second level. The third level would include an outdoor roof garden and pool deck overlooking the embarcadero. The “C” Street view corridor would also be lined with retail and restaurants including landscaping. Parking would be provided in two underground parking levels for guests and the public.
