Requirements

To become a San Diego Harbor Police Officer, you must meet the following requirements:

1. You must be at least 20 1/2 years old at the time of the written examination and at least 21 years of age at time of Police Academy graduation (No maximum age limit).
2. You must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
3. You must be a citizen of the United States or a permanent resident alien who is eligible for and has applied for citizenship.
4. You must possess a valid class C Driver's License.
5. You cannot have any felony convictions.
6. You must be in sound physical and mental health.
