There were 17 arrests this week. Two people were arrested for drunken driving and three people were arrested for being drunk in public. Two people were arrested for possessing a controlled substance and two people were arrested on outstanding warrants. One person was arrested for threatening another person and one person was arrested for resisting an officer. Two people considered a danger to themselves or others were taken to the county's psychiatric hospital. In addition, arrests were made for animal cruelty, possessing an open alcoholic container, stealing a car and driving with a suspended license.

There was one K9 report. Harbor Police searched National University campus building with negative results.

Crime reports included the theft of a suit case, a purse, a bag and other personal property. Near the San Diego Convention Center, a person threatened to kill a number of people. At Humphreys Half Moon Inn & Suites on Shelter Island, a woman was reported slitting both her wrists. On San Diego Bay, by piling 19, a woman was found dead floating face down. At the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, a woman was found dead between two beds. At San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina, a person broke a cab window and refused to pay the cab fare and at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego, a person hit and kicked a dog.

At San Diego International Airport, miscellaneous reports included abandoned ammunition at various checkpoints. Two people were trespassing. In addition, there were reports of a missing airport roof access key, a wallet, three employee identification badges, and a laptop. In addition a Southwest Airlines cargo item tested positive for explosive material.

Citations were issued for a number of infractions. Drivers were cited for using their cell phone while driving, running a red light, not having a functioning license plate light, possessing an open alcoholic container, having a broken head or tail light, driving without a license and speeding. Drivers were also cited for having an expired registration, throwing a cigarette out of the window, driving without proof of insurance and driving without wearing a seatbelt. In the 2500 block of North Harbor Drive, a pedestrian was cited for standing in the center median. At Embarcadero Marina Park North, two people were cited for being in the park after hours, one person was cited for smoking in the park and one person was cited for camping. At San Diego International Airport, one person was cited for possessing a hypodermic needle and three people were cited for possessing a knife at a checkpoint. In addition, there were numerous reports of possession of drug paraphernalia and less than one ounce of marijuana.

There was one traffic collision report. The accident was caused when a driver ran a red light.

On Anchorage Lane, near San Diego Bay, there was a diesel spill caused by a leaking exhaust. At the Tenth Avenue Marine Terminal, there was a report of an oil discharge from a coast guard vessel.

A missing person was located at the county's mental hospital.
