Tenant Loans

The Port of San Diego is committed to helping tenants meet environmental regulations and improve the environmental condition of the tidelands and the San Diego Bay. The Tenants' Environmental Compliance Loan Program is a low-cost loan available to Port tenants to conduct a variety of projects that respond to regulatory action, improve habitats for marine organisms, remove environmental contamination, and/or enhance the environmental conditions of the Bay.

Funding is available through the Environmental Fund. Tenants may qualify for a maximum amount of $100,000 at a low fixed interest rate for the life of the loan. Loans are available for a maximum length of five years.

Loan applicants must be Port tenants and proposed projects must be necessary for environmental compliance, environmental protection, and/or environmental restoration of lands for which the Port is ultimately responsible.
