There were 19 arrests this week. Four people were arrested for drunken driving and five people were arrested for being drunk in public. One person was arrested for possessing and selling marijuana and one person was arrested for possessing a controlled substance. Three people were arrested for obstructing, resisting or delaying an officer and two people were arrested on outstanding warrants. In addition, arrests were made for false impersonation and domestic violence.
Harbor Police responded to five sick/injury calls. One person considered a danger to self or others was taken to the county's psychiatric hospital. At San Diego International Airport, two people suffered from minor injuries and refused additional medical attention. One person suffered from burning of the eyes and was taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital. On San Diego Bay, near A3 anchorage, one person suffered a seizure, but refused additional medical attention. In addition, near Harbor House Restaurant in Seaport Village, one intoxicated person was transported to Mercy Hospital.
There was two K9 reports. In the 1600 block of Rosecrans Street, a vehicle was searched with positive results. On the corner of plaza de Palmas Road and Regents Road in La Jolla, an unattended plastic case was searched at the request of the San Diego Police Department with negative results.
Crime reports included the theft of two bikes, money, and other personal property. Near The Fish Market Restaurant, someone stole a parking meter. Near the B Street Cruise Ship Terminal, a men's public restroom was reported vandalized with graffiti. In addition, near Shelter Island Village shopping center, a person struck another person.
Miscellaneous reports included abandoned ammunition at various checkpoints at San Diego International Airport. One person was cited for petty theft. There were reports of missing wallets, a driver license, credit cards, jewelry, a passport, a digital camera, and an employee identification card. In addition, there was one report of a suspicious person wandering the San Diego International Airport.
Citations were issued for a number of infractions. Drivers were cited for failing to obey traffic signs, not having a driver license, having broken tail lights, and using their cell phone while driving. Drivers were also cited for having an expired registration, stopping on a railroad track, possessing an open alcohol container, driving on the wrong side of the road, not having their lights on, not yielding before turning, speeding, and making an unsafe lane change. One person was cited for biking on the wrong side of the road and one person was cited for loaning a car to an unlicensed driver. At San Diego International Airport, two people were cited for having a knife at a checkpoint. Near Avis Rent-A-Car, one person was cited for possessing less than one ounce of marijuana, and in the 2000 block of North Harbor Drive, one person was cited for lewd conduct.
There was one traffic collision. The accident was caused by a drunken driver.
There were two fuel spills near the Friendship Bell.
Two people who were reported to be missing were eventually located, one on the corner of Rosecrans Street and Jarvis Street in the Point Loma area, the other at San Diego International Airport.
