Fall for the Arts: Check What’s on Tap For Port and City of San Diego Free Event

Fall for the Arts — the free celebration of arts and culture — promises something for just about everyone this Saturday.

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier, located at l000 North Harbor Drive (map) on the San Diego bay front. Activities will take place both inside the pavilion and on the pier.

Fall for the Arts coincides with the start of National Arts and Humanities Month. The Port of San Diego created the event with help from the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture. Supporting groups include the National Endowment for the Arts, the California Arts Council, The San Diego Foundation, Americans for the Arts and the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau.

If you enjoy ballet, you can watch performances by the California Ballet and the San Diego Civic Youth Ballet.

If you prefer music, you can listen to the Westwind Brass or the WorldBeat Cultural Center's Adult West African Drum and & Dance group.

If you want to play an instrument or create art, you can do that as well. Or, if you just feel like clowning around, San Diego State University's School of Theatre, Television and Film will tell you how.
